The Vision

BACK2LAN is a return to real LAN parties and the golden age of PC retrogaming. The platform brings back the rituals collectors and gamers remember: physical boxes on a shelf, CRT setups, Ethernet cables, and nights spent on Unreal Tournament, Quake III, Diablo II, Age of Empires II, Counter-Strike 1.6, or Warcraft III.

The Challenge

Retrogaming PC communities are fragmented. Collectors juggle spreadsheets and forums, hardware hunters browse scattered marketplaces, and LAN enthusiasts still wrestle with outdated installs, patch chaos, and network configuration. We needed an ecosystem that could:

• Unify the collection experience: Fast cataloging, edition tracking, condition states, and visual browsing — not a generic database.
• Serve a niche commerce need: Retro PC games, reconditioned hardware, and LAN-ready packs in one trusted place.
• Remove friction from LAN play: One environment to launch classics with the right settings and connect locally in minutes.

BACK2LAN is built on three pillars — each reinforcing the others:

• Collection Manager: Add retro PC games in a few clicks from the BACK2LAN catalog. Track box condition, edition type, purchases, notes, and completed titles. Filter, stats, and multiple views — grid, list, or full cover art — for daily use.
• Online Shop: A specialized storefront for PC retrogaming: classic games, reconditioned hardware, and accessories. LAN-ready bundles designed to get a crew playing without the usual setup headache.
• BACK2LAN OS (In Development): A dedicated operating system optimized for PC retrogaming. Netflix-style library navigation, automatic optimal settings, and LAN connectivity in a few clicks — as simple as it was meant to be.
